This is an exceptional single malt Scotch whisky, created from a marriage of nine refill casks, laid down in 1968 and re-racked in 2008 into first-fill sherry seasoned oak casks for a further 12 years. Aromas of black cherries, peaches and dark chocolate herald notes of exotic spices and candied orange peel, toasted oak and ripe apricots. Espresso coffee and peat smoke linger at the end. Just 274 bottles exist, each signed by Gordon Motion, Highland Park’s Master Whisky Maker.
