Aberlour Distillery knows a thing or two about whisky; they've been making fine Scotch whisky for nearly 140 years. A true Speyside distillery, Aberlour's rich history dates back to 1879 when founder James Fleming chose the perfect location along the River Spey to set up shop. It is here, halfway between Inverness and Aberdeen in the Scottish Highlands, where the magic happens. Using the natural spring water that flows down from the Ben Rinnes Mountain and double-cask matured in ex-bourbon American oak barrels and Oloroso sherry casks for 16 years, it all comes together to make a beautifully mellow and smooth Scotch whisky. A great sipping whisky bursting with sweet raisin and nutty aromas; floral, sweet plum, and oak notes; and a long warm spicy finish. Best savored neat or with just a dash of water to elevate the flavors.
