A brilliant marriage of 55 casks, all laid down in November 1998 and bottled at 46% ABV for a rich and full-bodied finish, this single malt Scotch whisky received Gold in the 2021 International Spirits Challenge. Notes of fresh ginger and sun-ripened orange come to the fore, driven by first-fill sherry seasoned European oak hogsheads, while ex-bourbon casks provide a suggestion of vanilla cream and honey and refill casks soften the smoky, spicy complexity.
