55% Grenache Noir, 35% Syrah, 5% Marselan, 5% Carignan An enticing dark purple-red color, this rouge invites with a myriad of aromas: dark berries, bigarreau cherries, dried tomato, blackcurrant and a hint of pepper. The juicy palate is pleasantly smooth and fresh with a balanced acidity. A decadent finish lingers and is reminiscent of the richness one would find in Provence.
Product Information
Chateau La Croix des Pins boasts exposure to a unique microclimate due to its location between Mont Ventoux ('Giant of Provence') and Les Dentelles de Montmirail. This area, classified by UNESCO as a Biosphere Reserve, provides the vineyards with hours of maximum exposure to sunlight, protecting them from harsh Mistral gusts while simultaneously permitting winds to chill the vineyards in the evening. Today, the 89-acre property is owned by Eric Petit-Jean and Jean Pierre Valade and hosts a barrel cellar, vat room and modern equipment to separate grape varieties sourced from three different appellations Ventoux, Gigondas and Beaumes de Venise. Jean Pierre's unique expertise has inspired many of the Chateau La Croix des Pins vintages, resulting in wines that are fruity and fresh and whose drinking experience grants them the status of a 'wine producer of emotions.'973800
