Our Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon is structured and complex while remaining elegant and pure. It's a wine with freshness and elegance that does not come at the expense of structure and complexity. We aim to change the narrative surrounding Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. It happens that we have chosen the most "massive" of all AVA's to do so. The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon is expansive with intriguing depth. A defined aromatic core, seamless on the palate with finely polished tannins. The lingering finish is expressive, possessing tension while remaining fresh and light.

The Ink Grade Estate Vineyard claims a view unbeknownst to most in the Napa Valley. Amongst densely forested pines and sequoia stands, it lies in the north-east corner of the Howell Mountain AVA with a predominant view facing East. Terraced throughout due to the extreme slope, this mountainside vineyard grasps to volcanic "tufa" soils. Ink Grade Estate possesses a raw tension that renders fruit of immense intensity and depth. If ever there was a site which imparted a feeling of reverence, Ink Grade is such a place. Winemaker Matt Taylor is formerly of Araujo Eisele and Domaine Dujac, and handles this rugged terrain with care and expertise.
